OPEN YOUR MIND  1. This week we will seek to Open minds Make connections Be inspired through the lens of Eureka! as we study the principle of  "A good leader has good character" The scriptures tell us that all things testify of Christ.  We also learn that Christ is the Living Water .  He is the best example of leadership  ever .  What connections can you make between water, Christ and leadership after studying Archimedes and some of the principles of science involving water? #1 OPEN YOUR MIND  Remember--this is just where we start our journey of learning! Check out this Prezi on Africa for some fun facts!  (Take notes for the trivia game tomorrow!) Mary's prezi on Africa This morning as we were watching the 1,000 days church video about providing water in Africa, we talked about how good leaders will help people with what they need right then, without any agenda. Even if the leader's purpose is to, say, share the Gospel, they won't expect everyone who they run into to listen to them. If the people need something else, they will give it to them. We have had fun looking at leadership examples in videos and have come to find that so much of leadership involves the battles fought in our own minds as well: how we will react, chose, etc. Here are a couple videos we stumbled across. We also watched the VidAngel version of "Groundhog's Day" and talked about the consequences of agency. We didn't like part of how the movie ended but it gave us the chance to talk about "bent, broken, whole and healing" books and media. (Total 80's flashback on that last one!!)
